Metal Forming Knowledge Day 2020

Hot topics

Transferring knowledge about optical 3D metrology is a high priority at GOM. The company regularly organizes events on specific topics, each with a focus on a particular field of application. In 2020, the spotlight is on metal forming.

The Metal Forming Knowledge Day offers quality assurance and process control specialists an ideal platform to experience new optical 3D metrology technologies and to find out which methods and innovations have proved effective in practice. Following two kick-off events in Germany, there will be expert meetings for international customers in more than 30 countries.

High flexibility combined with accurate measurements gives us the possibilities we need to help shape the future of production engineering.

Practical solutions for practical applications

The event series offers expertise in a range of different formats. There are general lectures, for instance, on how industrial 3D metrology can help assure quality and reduce development times in metal forming. Presentations with live demonstrations bring together specialists and well-known industry users to share best practices – for example, when using optical metrology for forming tools during the try-out, maintenance and repair stages. Furthermore, the expert discussions bring participants into direct contact with specialists. The Knowledge Day is also an industry get-together and an ideal networking opportunity.

The Metal Forming Knowledge Day is aimed at quality assurance and process control experts. It is ideal for anyone interested in networking and finding out about optical metrology in metal forming.
